Who will the course be led by?
Who will the course be led by?
The course will be led by Brodie Toriati who teaches Historical European Martial Arts as the founder and lead instructor of Spada HEMA.
Brodie has also worked in the Film & TV industry for the past decade, specialising in period films, using the very skills he'll be teaching from his acting and stunt performance roles on film productions such as Netflix, Disney and Universal to name a few.

The seminar is open to women and femme-aligned non-binary over 18 years old.
No requirements needed. If you're interested, you can sign up.
The seminar can be catered to all fitness levels.
Pre-existing health and injuries must be advised prior as a disclaimer will also need to be completed.

You can pay the full amount to secure your place but can also confirm by paying a £50 deposit with the remainder due on the 19th September 2025.
If you have chosen to pay a deposit, a further email will be sent for information to settle your balance.

The upcoming seminar will run on Saturday 11th October 2025 from 1pm - 3pm.

The seminar will be located at The Heriot’s Centre for Sport & Exercise Ltd, Place, Edinburgh, EH3 9HE.

You can expect the seminar to run for up to 2 hours.
Minimum 6 participants are required for the course to run. Maximum 14 participants per seminar.
What do I need to bring?
What do I need to bring?
Although not compulsory, you are free to come dressed in character but keep in mind, if you decide to, this is a hands-on, movement-based seminar, so make sure your outfit allows you to move freely and comfortably!
Please also ensure to bring water to keep hydrated.
The course will take you through multiple weapons and the hire will already be included in the seminar fee.
